Chittagong Port Bay Terminal Port Security Building
Project Overview
Security Building of Chittagong Bay Terminal expresses a strong institutional character through its articulated massing and controlled facade treatment. The composition is defined by interlocking volumes that create a hierarchical frontage, where the projecting upper mass and recessed entry zone establish a clear threshold of authority and access control. Vertical window modules rhythmically punctuate the facade, reinforcing a sense of order, surveillance, and transparency—key qualities for a security facility in a port environment. The elevated entrance canopy and undercroft create a transitional buffer between the high-traffic roadway and the secure interior, while the overall geometry responds pragmatically to vehicular movement and site constraints. Architecturally, the building conveys stability, vigilance, and operational efficiency, aligning with the infrastructural identity of a major maritime gateway
