The medical center at Payra Port First Terminal Outside Yard presents a contemporary modern design that balances functionality with a humane architectural expression. The composition is predominantly horizontal, reinforcing a sense of stability and accessibility appropriate for a healthcare facility within a port environment. Clean rectilinear volumes are articulated with vertical fins and framed openings, which soften the clinical character and introduce rhythm along the facade. The projecting upper-level block creates a shaded drop-off zone—an essential climatic response in coastal Bangladesh—while clearly defining the emergency entrance. Generous glazing ensures visual transparency and natural light penetration, enhancing interior well-being and passive environmental performance.
